I am back after a successful biking trip from beautiful Bangladesh. All the days in Bangladesh were pleasant and full of joy and excitement. Bangladesh is a flat country. It’s decorated with green trees and grasses. “Green green everywhere”! They sky is always blue there. The wonderful “Padma” river is gigantic but beautiful. The people of Bangladesh are simple and fantastic. I stayed a night in a village with a family as there was no hotel available. I was very happy and grateful to have a warm welcome. After a day long biking, I enjoyed the food [fish]. People of Bangladesh are famous for their hospitality. I traveled all parts of Bangladesh except the northern part. Few cities like Sathkhira, Khulna, Jessore, Faridpur, Dhaka [Capital city], Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar are beautiful and well decorated with smooth roads and gardens. Due to adverse weather I could not reach “St. Martin Island”. I met with so many people and talked about politics, agriculture [jute], fishing and technology. I met with Noble laureate Professor Mohammad Yunus. He is a fantastic man with exceptional qualities and wisdom. He is one of the best know economist in the world today. His “Grameen Bank” [micro credit theory applied] is successful. I also met with few of my friends Abbas, Aminbhai and Nazia Jerin in Dhaka. I came back on 24th June 2008. I wish to visit one more time to see one of the greenest countries of the world Bangladesh.
